Incident Summary – Day Shift Sunday 9th October

Car fire – Foxwood Lane, York

Time of call: 0855 hours

A crew from Acomb had dealt with a car fire. Approximately 5 sqm of damage was caused to the vehicle. The cause is deliberate and our crew used 1 breathing apparatus, 1 hosereel, a dry powder extinguisher and a thermal imaging camera.

Water leak – Granby Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 0909 hours

A crew from Harrogate has been called to water leaking through the ceiling in a residential property. A search of the property above was carried out but no apparent leak could be located. Crew used a 13.5m ladder and hand tools.

Chimney fire – Mayfield Terrace, Tadcaster

Time of call: 1138 hours

A crew from Tadcaster has been called to concerns over a wood burning stove in a residential property. This was a false alarm which involved the burning off of wax after candles had been placed inside the log burner. Advice given to occupier.

False alarm - Youngs Yard, Richmond

Time of call: 1418 hours

A crew from Richmond has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
