Time of call: 0927 hours

A crew from York has rescued a male from a stuck lift at a commercial property. The male was uninjured and our crew used lift keys.

False alarm – Clotherholme Road, Ripon

Time of call: 0936 hours

A crew from Ripon has responded to a smoke alarm activation at a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to accidental damage to a break glass point.

False alarm – Bensons Yard, Knaresborough

Time of call: 0951 hours

Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate have been called to a smoke alarm activation in a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm – Middlecave Road, Malton

Time of call: 1001 hours

A crew from Malton has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to dust from workmen.

Animal rescue – St Nicholas Street, Scarborough

Time of call: 1145 hours

A fire engine and aerial ladder platform have rescued a kittiwake from netting on the side of a 4 storey building. This involved closing a road and using the aerial ladder to reach the bird which was suffering minor injuries. A member of the public volunteered to care for the bird until the arrival of the RSPCA.

False alarm – Leeds Road, Harrogate

Time: 1324 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an engineer working on the system.
