Incident Summary – Day Shift Tuesday 31st January


Road traffic collision – Thirsk Road, Northallerton

Time of call: 0958 hours

2 Crews from Northallerton and a crew from Thirsk have assisted at a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry. An elderly female has been taken to hospital with severe injuries. Fire crews assisted paramedics and provided scene safety.


Shop fire – Stainsacre Lane, Whitby

Time of call: 1255 hours

A crew from Whitby has been called to a fire in a retail property. This involved an ice making machine. The fire was extinguished by a sprinkler system prior to our arrival. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault. Fire crew isolated the sprinklers and the electricity supply.


False alarm – Keighley Road, Skipton

Time of call: 1338 hours

A crew from Skipton has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.


Road traffic collision – A64, Scampston Bridge

Time of call: 1633 hours

Crews from Malton and Sherburn are currently dealing with a single vehicle road traffic collision.
