Incident Summary Day Shift Wednesday 29th August 2018

28th August 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

We also attended a number of fire alarm activations during the shift which turned out to be a false alarms.

Fire in the open – Bolton Percy, Tadcaster

Time of call: 07:01

Both appliances from Tadcaster attended this incident which was a muck heap on fire, crews used a hose reel jet and small tools along with the assistance of a farmer with his heavy machinery to extinguish the fire.

Dog rescue – River Foss, York

Time of call: 12:34

An appliance from York attended this incident and rescued a dog which had fallen in the river, crews used a reach pole to rescue the dog unharmed.

Fire in corn dryer – Yedingham, Malton

Time of call: 12:45

Appliances from Sherburn and Malton attended this incident which turned out to be a false alarm.
