Suspected Gas Explosion – Springwood, Haxby

Time of call: 07:31

Appliances from Huntington, York, Acomb and an urban search and rescue team from West Yorkshire attended this incident.

Chimney Fire – Sand Lane, Osgodby

Time of call: 08:58

An appliance from Selby and an appliance from Tadcaster attended and extinguished the chimney fire using chimney rods and a hose reel jet.

Fire in the open – Princess Street, Scarborough

Time of call: 09:24

An appliance from Scarborough attended and confirmed this was controlled burning, advice was given.

House Fire – Vernon Close, Bishopthorpe

Time of call: 10:12

Appliances from Acomb, Tadcaster and Malton attended and extinguished the fire using 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets, crews remained on scene for some time removing roof tiles and damping down.

Automatic Fire Alarm – Delwood, York

Time of call: 12:10

An appliance from Tadcaster attended and confirmed this was a false alarm.

Chimney Fire – Romanby Road, Northallerton

Time of call: 12:11

An appliance from Northallerton attended and extinguished the fire using a hearth kit.

Automatic Fire Alarm – Fifth Avenue, York

Time of call: 12:16

An appliance from York attended and confirmed this was a false alarm.

Assist ambulance service – Cawthorne Avenue, Harrogate

Time of call: 13:27

Harrogate appliance assisted ambulance service with a male who had fallen in the shower.

Fire in premises – Penny Pot Lane, Killinghall

Time of call: 13:47

Appliances from Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon and Summerbridge attended and extinguished a small fire in laundry room on first floor of a premise.  Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the property. 

Vehicle fire – Kent Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 14:02

An appliance from Harrogate attended a vehicle fire but the fire was out on arrival of our crews, advice was given.

Smoke sighted over Moor – Near Swainby

Time of call: 14:17

Northallerton appliance was sent out to investigate however no smoke was sighted and this incident is believed to be a false alarm.

Chimney Fire – Betteras Hill Road, Selby

Time of call: 15:21

Fire crews from Selby attended this incident and extinguished the fire using a hearth kit.
