Incident Summary Dayshift 28th January

Here is a round up of incidents during the day shift 0800-1800 hours on Thursday 28th January:

Kitchen fire - San Carlos Close, Catterick Garrison

Time of call: 1305 hours

Fire crews from Richmond and Colburn have been called to a fire in a domestic property. Slight fire damage was caused to a placemat which had been left on top of a cooker in the kitchen of an end terraced property. The fire was out on the arrival of the fire crew.

House fire - Welham Road, Norton

Time of call: 1322 hours

Fire crews from Malton, Pickering and Sharburn have been called to deal with a fire in a domestic property. The fire caused damage to a window sill, smoke damage to a first floor bedroom and slight smoke damage to the remainder of the property. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 1 hosereel, thermal imaging camera, positive pressure ventilation fan and various small tools. The cause is believed to be a spark from a garden bonfire igniting the bedroom window frame.
