False Alarm – York Minster, York

Time of Call: 1151

Crews from Acomb and Huntington attended an automatic fire alarm activation and found that it was a false alarm due to workmen on premises.

 

False Alarm – Eastborough, Castle, Scarborough

Time of Call: 1253

Crews from Scarborough attended reports of a smell of petrol in a residential property. They carried out a full investigation and found that the smell was due to a resident applying a resin coat to their floor.

 

False Alarm – Hull Road, York

Time of Call: 1308

Crews from Acomb attended an automatic fire alarm at a public building on Hull Road. They found this was a false alarm due to a faulty detector.

 

False Alarm – A19 Fulford

Time of Call: 1316

Crews from Huntington were called to a car fire on the roundabout on the A19 at Fulford. Crews found that this was a false alarm and that smoke had been the product of a brake fault. Crews assisted driver with arranging recovery.

 

False Alarm – Fir Tree Crescent, Tadcaster

Time of Call: 1508

Crews from Tadcaster  were called to reports of an automatic fire alarm activation with no response from the elderly resident. They found that it was a false alarm due to testing.
