Incident summary for dayshift 27 August 2018

Incident Summary - Day Shift,  Monday 27TH   August 2018

 In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Crews from around the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms today. Thankfully all of these have been false alarms.

A169 North of Pickering.

Time of call: 07:53

 Pickering and Kirkbymoorside crews responded to a report of a single car RTC which had gone into a field. Firecrews used hydraulic cutting equipment to free an injured male who was transported to hospital by Air Ambulance.

Sliproad off junction 48, A1 Southbound, Boroughbridge

Time of call: 09:06

 Firecrews were mobilisied following reports of a 2 car RTC. No persons trapped. Fire Brigade maintained a presence until Police arrived.

 Settle

Time of call: 11:01

 A crew from Settle gained access to a domestic premises by use of ladders due to a request from a district nurse following her sighting of a fallen male within the property. All remained until ambulance arrived.

 Selby

Time of call: 12:02

 A crew from Selby released a female from a lift following it’s failure between floors 1 and 2 in a premises, by use of lift keys.

 East Cowton

Time of call: 12:22

 Crews from Northallerton and Ripon rescued 10 sheep from a mud pit by use of an inflatable walkway and animal rescue kit, and left in care of farmer.
