Incident summary Day Shift June 10th

10th June 2016

B6165 Glasshouses

Fire Service crews from Summerbridge attended to a car fire at 09:26. A Peugeot 206 was involved and the fire was caused by an electrical fault. Crews used two breathing apparatus two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera.

River Ouse, Barlby

At 11:47 the Water Rescue team from Selby rescued a boat that had become adrift on the River Ouse. The cruise liner was beginning to pick up pace the further down the River it went. Crews used lines and a Rescue Boat to recover the boat safely into a lock.

Holbeck Road, Scarborough.

A Fire Officer investigated a sink hole that emerged in the road. The Incident was dealt with by Police and Fire Service assistance was not required.

Little Studley Park, Ripon

Fire crews from Ripon assisted with a car leaking petrol. Crews stopped the leak and soaked up the spillage.

Telford Terrace, York

Fire crews from York and Acomb attended a House fire at 16:56. This was a second floor fire, crews currently tackling this fire using two hose reels and two breathing apparatus. Further details will follow
