Summary of Incidents for Day Shift Friday 20th April 2018

 

 

 

Time of Call:  0746 hrs  - RTC, A61, Harrogate

 

Crews from Harrogate attended a 3 vehicle road traffic collision.  One casualty was trapped in one vehicle, extricated by fire crews via roof removal  using cutting equipment.   Casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance with non life threatening injuries.

 

 

 

Time of Call:  0813 hrs – Lorry on fire,  A1 junction 56, Barton

 

Crews from Richmond and Darlington attended a lorry on fire.  This was extinguished using one hose reel  and small tools.

 

 

 

Time of Call: 0858 hrs – AFA,  Flaxby, Knaresborough

 

Crews from Knaresborough attended an automatic fire alarm which resulted in false alarm due to accidental breakage of break glass point.

 

 

 

Time of Call: 1106 hrs – Muck heap on fire, Egton, Whitby

 

Crews from Whitby attended a muck heap on fire.  Extinguished using 1 hose reel  jet, ceiling hook and pitchfork.

 

 

 

Time of Call:  1147 hrs – AFA, Whitby

 

Crews from Lythe attended an automatic fire alarm sounding which resulted in a false alarm.

 

 

 

Time of Call:  1333 hrs – Westfield Grove, Eggborough , fence on fire

 

Crews from Selby attended a fence on fire which had spread from controlled burning of garden rubbish.  One hose reel used to extinguish.

 

 

 

Time of Call:  1432 hrs – A64, Malton – Assist police in removing concrete slabs from highway

 

Malton crews assisted Police in removing concrete slabs from highway which had fallen off a trailer.  Crews used a winch with the assistance of a heavy rescue recovery vehicle and forklift truck.   Slabs were then loaded

 

Time of Call:  1617 hrs – RTC, Main Street, Sheriff Hutton

Crews from Huntington attended a road traffic collision which had involved a car which had collided with a garden wall.  No persons trapped or injured.  Fire crews made the scene safe.
