Incident Summary Friday 27th October Day Shift

Please see below a round up of incidents from Friday 27th October Day Shift

 

Time 1119hrs     Location: River Ouse, York

 

The boat crew from York was mobilised to the River Ouse on the request of the Police to assist in identifying an item floating in the river. Item identified as an animal carcass.

 

Time 1424hrs    Location: Hawsker

 

A crew from Whitby assisted Police to gain access through a fence using boltcroppers.

 

Time 1513hrs     Location: Park, Richmond Road, Hipswell

 

A crew from Richmond attended the park to make a dangerous swing safe using small tools.

 

Time 1530hrs     Location: A1, Northbound, Hookmoor to Bramham Crossroads

 

Crews from Tadcaster, York, and Garforth (West Yorks FRS) attended a two vehicle road traffic collision. No persons trapped, vehicles made safe by Tadcaster crew.

 

Time 1603hrs     Location: A65, Skipton

 

A crew from Skipton attended a report of a car on fire. On arrival this was discovered to be a false alarm due to smoke from a blown turbo.

 

Time 1621hrs     Location: B1224, Bilton in Ainsty

 

Crews from York, Tadcaster and Acomb have attended a road traffic collision involving three cars, one female released from one of the cars by Fire Service personnel.

 

Time 1641hrs    Location: Eastern Terrace, York

 

A crew from Huntington have attended a report of a van on fire. This was a false alarm due to smoke caused by a stuck accelerator.

 

Time 1649hrs    Location: A162, Moor Lane to Cock Bridge, Stutton

 

Crews from Tadcaster have attended a two vehicle road traffic collision, releasing one person from a vehicle using cutting gear.

 

In addition to the above incidents our crews attended automatic fire alarm activations in Acomb, York, Pickering, All were false alarms.
