Round up of incidents today – Sunday 17th January 2016




A mainly routine day shift with various false alarms throughout.



Main incidents to note below:


13:48  Road between Newton-on-Rawcliffe and Egton Bridge, Goathland area.

Crews from Goathland and Pickering attended this Road Traffic Collision, where on arrival found that two casualties were still in the vehicle. Ambulance crews were in attendance and were in process of helping the casualties from the vehicle. Fire and Rescue crews assisted Ambulance crews with casualties to awaiting Road Ambulance.

**Please note, very bad weather conditions in this area at present.


15:49 Raleigh Street, Scarborough

Two Fire Engines along with an Aerial Ladder Platform from Scarborough attended this incident after reports of a fire in a property with a male occupier unable to exit due to smoke. On arrival, crews extinguished the fire and succesfully assisted the occupier downstairs from a first floor bedroom and out of the property, who was then left in care of Paramedics in attendance for a precautionary check.
