Incident Summary – Day Shift Thursday 30th

Leisure Park, Nr Kirby Misperton, Nr Malton

Fire crews from Pickering and Malton attended reports of a caravan on fire. When crews arrived on site, they discovered a static caravan well alight.  Fire crews used 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus. The fire is being investigated by fire officers but it is believed to have been started deliberately.

Milton Road, Malton

Fire crews from Sherburn attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at a residential premises in Malton. When crews arrived they carried out a full inspection of the property. They discovered the alarm had been activated due to dust/insects in the detector head. Advice given to the occupants.

A63, South Milford

Fire crews from Tadcaster attended reports of a car fire near A63. When crews arrived they worked with West Yorks Fire Service to extinguish. They then left the incident with them as it was in their area.

East Lea View, Cayton, Nr Scarborough

Fire crews from Scarborough assisted paramedics at an incident where a male had slipped into a ditch. Crews provided manpower and equipment to recover the male to paramedics and then to the ambulance. He was being transported to hospital for a precautionary check up.
