Round up of incidents for Night Shift Monday 15th February 2016

False alarm – Brook Street, York Time of call: 1900 hours

York crew were called to an automatic fire alarm activation on Brook Street in York. They found that it was a false alarm due to a malicious activation of a break glass point.

Chimney Fire – Woodside Road, Ganton Time of call: 2057 hours

Sherburn crew were called to a chimney fire on Woodside Road in Ganton. Upon arriving they found that the chimney was well alight and extinguished using chimney rods and a hose reel.

False alarm – Junction Mills, Keighley Time of call: 2100 hours

Skipton crews were called to an automatic fire alarm activation at Junction Mills. Upon attending they found that it was due to a fault on the system.

York crew were called to an automatic fire alarm activation on Brook Street in York. They found that it was a false alarm due to a malicious activation of a break glass point.

False alarm – Doncaster Road, Selby Time of call: 2215 hours

A crew from Selby have responded to the activation of a smoke alarm in a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to a power cut.

Road traffic collision – Flamborough Road, Speeton Time of call: 0129 hours

Crews from Filey and Scarborough have been called to a road traffic collision involving a Vauxhall Corsa. The male driver was out of the vehicle and in the care of paramedics on the arrival of the Fire Service. Crew have made the vehicle safe.

Rubbish fire – High Petergate, York Time of call: 0215 hours

A crew from York has bee called to a reports of a rubbish fire in the open. The fire was extinguished by a member of the public with a fire extinguisher prior to our arrival. The cause is unknown.

False alarm – Forest Lane, Alne Time of call: 0236 hours

Crews from Easingwold and Acomb have been called to reports of a building fire. This was a false alarm due to steam coming from one of the industrial buildings.

False alarm – Low Street, Sherburn in Elmet Time of call: 0236 hours

A crew from Tadcaster has been called to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault in the system.

False alarm – Riverside Gardens, Elvington Time of call: 0526 hours

A crew from York has been called to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault in the smoke detector.

False alarm – Peasholme Green, York Time of call: 0658 hours

A crew from York has been called to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to dust from workmen.

False alarm – Clifford Street, York Time of call: 0719 hours

A crew from York has been called to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.
