  Acomb Road, York  Time 08:31

An automatic fire alarm sounded on Acomb Road, York. A crew from Acomb attended and confirmed that this was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Middle Walk, Scarborough  Time 08:56

An automatic fire alarm sounded on Middle Walk, Scarborough. A crew from Scarborough attended and confirmed that this was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Bower Road, Harrogate  Time 09:29

An occupier smelled smoke in their building and reported the fire alarm sounding. Crews from Harrogate, Knaresborough and Boroughbridge attended the incident, gained entry to the property and saw that a pan that had been smoking on a hob was the cause of the alarm.

Minister Road, Ripon  Time 09:54

An automatic fire alarm sounded on Minister Road, Ripon. A crew from Ripon attended and confirmed that this was an accidental activation of the break glass point.

Percys Lane, York  Time 11:13

An automatic fire alarm sounded on Percys Lane, York. A crew from York attended and confirmed that this was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Brooklands Avenue, Filey  Time 11:39

Crews from Filey investigated a report of smoke coming from a drain near on Brooklands Avenue. After investigation this was confirmed as sewer gas escaping from the drain. The incident was reported to the council to follow up.

Grinton Time 13:13

A road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry occurred near Grinton. The car had collided with the lorry and then hit a wall before coming to a stop. Crews from Reeth and Richmond attended and helped the male driver out of the car. The crews had to use their hydraulic cutting gear on the car. The driver was then moved to the ambulance before being taken to hospital with unknown injuries, not thought to be serious.

Malton Road, Seamer  Time 13:53

Smoke was seen coming from a farm building. A crew from Scarborough attended the site and confirmed that this was controlled burning and left with the landowner.

Wilberforce Avenue, York  Time 14:41

Crews from Acomb and York attended a property with smoke coming from a window. Crews arrived and discovered a bedroom that was on fire and all the occupants had managed to exit the building. The crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. They then used their fans to ventilate the area.

High Street, Skipton  Time 15:13

An automatic fire alarm sounded on the High Street, Skipton. A crew from Skipton attended and confirmed that this was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Abbots Court, Selby  Time 15:43

Crews from Selby, Snaith, Huntington and Harrogate reported to a fire on Abbots Court. When the crews arrived they investigated the area and discovered an oven that had been on fire, but was now out. The crews inspected the area using their thermal imaging camera to check there were no other fires and made the area safe before leaving.

Prospect Mount Road, Scarborough  Time 15:43

An automatic fire alarm sounded on Prospect Mount Road. Our Scarborough crews attended and confirmed that this was an accidental activation of the break glass point.

Cardale Park, Harrogate  Time 16:11

A person had become trapped in a lift and they were unable to get through to an engineer. Crews from Harrogate attended and were able to free the trapped person using their hydraulic cutting equipment. The person was freed unharmed.

 

Washton Road, Richmond  Time 16:45

 

A bush had been seen smouldering by a member of the public off Washton Road. A crew from Richmond investigated and were able to extinguish the bush using a bucket of water.
