Incident Summary - Night Shift 12th March

Summary of Incidents – 12th March, Night Shift

Toc:  1904 hours, Female locked in bathroom, Fulwith Close, Harrogate

Harrogate Crew attended.  Crews released her from the bathroom using small tools.

Toc: 2050 hours, Car Fire, Nr Black Bull Hotel, Hull Road, York

York Crew attended a car fire which was 80% destroyed by fire.  Cause believed to be an electrical fault in a heating unit.  Crews used 1 hose reel jet.

Toc:  2146 hours, Fire in field. Crambe, Malton

Malton attended a fire in the field.  The fire was controlled burning under supervision.

Toc:  2326 hours, Smell of Smoke and Gas in property, Skipwith Road, Escrick, Selby.

York and Acomb Crews attended.  Cause of smoke a fire involving burglar alarm transformer.  The fire was out on arrival of fire crews.  Fire caused small amount of fire damage to the transformer.  Crews carried out an investigation using a thermal imaging camera and fitted two smoke alarms.

Toc:  0238 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Premises, Whitbygate, Thornton-le-Dale

Pickering attended, the cause of the alarm is faulty equipment.

Toc:  0415 hours, Road Traffic Collision, A1 North Bound Collision, J44 Bramham Crossroads to J45 Boston Spa.

Two appliances from Tadcaster attended.  Single vehicle road traffic collision involving a BMW 5 Series which had left the road.  One male casualty aged approximately late 30s trapped by his injuries.  Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the vehicle roof to allow him to be extricated.  He was taken to Hospital by road ambulance.
