Incident Summary Night Shift 14th August

16th August 2016

Field off Dick Scot Lane, Dalton, Richmond

At 17:53 fire crews from Richmond and Colburn responded to reports of a stubble field on fire. One field containing straw bales was well alight on arrival of crews and was extinguished using one hose reel jet and beaters. Fire was caused by a bale overheating inside a baling machine.

Windmill Lane, Heslington

At 20:23 fire crews from Acomb attended reports of a fire in the open. Crew confirmed a small in woodland off Windmill Lane. Fire was extinguished by Crew using one hose reel

The Crescent, Filey

At 20:34 fire crews from Filey responded to a bin fire. Fire was caused by a discarded disposable BBQ. Crews extinguished fire using two buckets of water.

Beech Avenue, Harrogate

At 21:40 a fire crew from Harrogate attended reports of a fire in a garden. On arrival the crews confirmed a rubbish fire in a domestic garden and extinguished it using one hose reel.
