Incident Summary –  Night Shift 16th July

Toc:  1824 hours – Car leaking petrol, Lark Lane, Ripon.  Ripon Crew attended. 1 car leaking petrol from fuel pipe. Crews used drizzit pad and dammit paste to soak up fuel and 1 hose reel jet to swill down road.

Toc:  1919 hours – Elderly male had  fallen sustaining a visible head injury near the Bus Station, Victoria Grove, Ripon.  Crew from Ripon administered first aid until the arrival of the ambulance, he was then taken to Hospital.

Toc:  1930 hours – Rubbish Fire spread to shed.  West Garth, Sherburn.  Crews from Scarborough and Sherburn attended.

Toc:  1947 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Premises, Great North Way, Nether Poppleton. Acomb Crew attended, cause of alarm testing system.

Toc:  1949 hours – Fire in bedroom of two storey semi detached house. Coupland Road. Selby.  Crews from Selby and York attended.  The occupier was out at the time of fire but returned whilst the Fire Service were in attendance.  Fire caused 100% fire damage to bedroom, 80% severe smoke damage to first floor and 20% smoke damage to the ground floor.  Smoke spread to next doors property via a loft hatch, crews evacuated the neighbours as a precaution. Crews then ventilated the property. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel a thermal imaging camera and a door enforcer.  The cause of the fire is not known at present.

Toc:  1958 hours – Small fire in open, Acomb Crew attended, crews used buckets of water and beaters.  Cause of fire deliberate.

Toc:  2359 hours – Small fire in Arthur Street, Great Ayton.  Stokesley Crew attended.  Cause of fire Controlled Burning, left with the owner.

Toc:  0023 hours – Approx 30 waste bales on fire in field, Cold Cotes Road, Felliscliffe.  Harrogate Crews attended.  Cause of fire Controlled Burning left unattended, 1 hose reel jet and tank of water used.

Toc:  0126 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Residential Premises, Scarthingwell.  Tadcaster Crew attended, cause of alarm fault on system.

Toc:  0240 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Shop, Market Place, Bedale.  Cause of Alarm not known.

Toc:  0516 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Residential Premises, Percys Lane, York.  York Crew attended. Cause of alarm smoke from cigarettes.

Toc:  0541 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Premises, West Fields, Kirkbymoorside.   Kirkbymoorside Crew attended.  Cause electrical fault on system.

Toc:  0542 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Residential Premises, Guardian Court, York.  Acomb Crew attended.  Cause of alarm, cooking fumes.
