18.22  Middleton Carr Lane, Middleton, Nr Pickering

Fire crew from Pickering investigated reports of a large fire in the open. When crews arrived they were able to confirm the incident to be controlled burning by the property owner and no risk to the property itself. Crews gave advice only

19.12  Roxby Terrace, Thornton le Dale

A fire crew from Pickering attended reports of a chimney fire down Roxby Terrace. On arrival crews located a fire at the rear of the wood burner. The fire affected MDF boards behind the Wood Burning stove. Fire is believed to have been caused by an ill fitted wood burner. Crews used small tools, and thermal imaging camera to check for any further residual heat.

23:30 Low Street, Sherburn in Elmet

Two fire crews from Tadcaster attended a static caravan fire in Sherburn in Elmet. Crews used two hose reel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. The cause is still under investigation
