False alarm – Fulford Road, York

Time of call: 1742 hours

A crew from York had responded to an alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a warden call button becoming stuck

False Alarm – Hewley Drive, West Ayton, Scarborough

Time of call: 1809 hours

Scarborough crews responded to reports of a smell of burning in a kitchen at a residential propety. They found this was a false alarm with no sign of fire.

Fire – Amy Johnson Way, York

Time of call: 2028 hours

Crews from Acomb and Huntington attended reports of a fuse box on fire. They found that the ground floor was smokelogged and used breathing apparatus and hose reel to extinguish and positive pressure fans to ventilate the property. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault.

Fire – Low Snowden, Harrogate

Time of call: 2208 hours

Crews from Harrogate attended reports of a house fire. They found that the occupier had used petrol to stoke an open fire. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel to exinhuish. The ceiling was removed to expose any hot spots. A male aged in his 20’s was taken to hospital via road ambulance with smoke inhalation and burns to hands.

False Alarm – Larch Way, Selby

Time of Call: 0521

Crews from Selby attended reports of a smoke detector actuation from a neighbouring poperty. They found this was a false alarm and had been caused by water dripping from the upstairs flat.
