Chimney Fire – Fairfax Close, Ampleforth

Time of call: 1947 hours

A crew from Helmsley were called to a chimney fire at a residential property. This was caused by an accumulation of soot and was extinguished using a hose reel, chimney rods and a hearth kit.

Time of call: 1955 hours

Leyburn crews responded to calls to a chimney fire on Castle Hill, Middleham. This was caused by an accumulation of soot and was extinguished using a hearth kit, chimney rods and a hose reel..

False Alarm – Station Road, Richmond

Time of call: 2032 hours

Crews from Richmond responded to a call to a fire in the open. They found this was a false alarm and was controlled burning under supervision.

False Alarm – Mount View Business Park, Scarborough

Time of call: 2123 hours

Crews from Scarborough responded to a report of flares being used and a fire in the open. They found no sign of a fire or flares in the area.

Rescue – Bishopthorpe Road, York

Time of Call: 2208

Crews from York responded to a call that there was a child locked in a bedroom of a property in Bishopthorpe Road. They released the child using a hooligan tool.

False Alarm – St Saviours Place, York

Time of Call: 0057

Crews from York attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that it was a false alarm due to the accidental activation of a break glass point.

Flooding – The Green, Sheriff Hutton

Time of Call: 0401

Crews from Huntington responded to a call of flooding inside a property. They found that this was due to the drain outside of but within the boundary of the property. Crews used bags of gravel to stop water entering the property and gave advice to property owner.

False Alarm – Woodlea Avenue, York

Time of Call: 0406

Crews from York responded to a sighting of smoke in the area. They found no sign of smoke or fire.
