Round up of Incidents – Night Shift Monday 2nd May

 York Fire Station, Kent Street, York

A member of the public attended York Fire Station to have a ring removed. The crew removed the ring using ring cutters. No further action was required.

 Slessor Road, York

Fire crews from Acomb attended reports of a fire in the open. When crews arrived, they used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.

 Huntington Road, York

Fire crews from Huntington attended reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises on Huntington Road. When crews arrived they were able to establish there was no fire. The cause of the alarm sounding was steam from a shower. Fire crews gave advice, no further action required.

 Rear Beaconsfield Street, York

Fire crews from Acomb and York attended reports of a van on fire. Upon crews arrival they confirmed there to be a van on fire. The vehicle  was well alight and near to a commercial property. Fire crews used 2 hose reels, breathing apparatus and small tools. The van sustained severe fire damage and the commercial unit sustained heat damage to the exterior of the property.

 North Marine Road, Scarborough

Fire crews from Scarborough attended a residential property on North Marine Road following reports of a fire. The crews attended and dealt with a small fire in the stairwell at the property.

 West Fields, Kirkbymoorside

Fire crews from Kirkbymoorside attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at commercial premises on West Fields. Fire crews inspected the site and ensured the property was safe. No fire located, alarm sounded due to possible fault on system.
