Incident Summary Night Shift 3rd February

4th February 2017

Middle Walk, Scarborough


Scarborough and Filey crews attended a house fire. They found that this was caused by a toy which had been left on top of a lamp. The occupier had smothered with a damp towel prior to fire service arrival.


High Street, Ebberston


Crews from Scarborough and Pickering attended reports of a RTC involving 2 vehicles. Crews found that the incident had involved a head on collision between a Ford Focus and  Renault Scenic with 3 adult casualties all aged approx. 30 years, out on arrival. Single male occupant of Ford Focus had minor injuries, male occupant of Renault Scenic had minor injuries and female occupant of Renault Scenic had significant but non-life threatening injuries. All were transported to hospital via road ambulance due to the nature of the incident. Fire crews assisted with casualty care and carried out scene safety.


Market Weighton Road, North Duffield


Crews from Selby and Howden (Humberside Fire and Rescue) responded to reports of a single vehicle RTC where the vehicle had hit a kerb and rolled onto its side with the driver trapped inside. Crews found that the male driver was out on arrival with no apparent injuries. Crews make scene safe.


Crag Lane, Harrogate


Harrogate crew responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.


Franklin Road, Harrogate


Harrogate crew responded to a call from a male saying that he was locked out on a ledge of a 3 storey building. Crews found that this was a false alarm and the incident was left with police.


Vangarde Way, Huntington


York crew responded to an automatic fire alarm activation from a commercial property. They carried out a full 360 degree external inspection of the property and found no evidence of fire however were unable to gain access due to no keyholder.
