Fire in Open – Nidd Gorge Woodland, Ripley Time of call: 1733

Crews from Knaresborough attended reports of a fire in the open. They found that this was deliberate. The fire measured approx. 2m x 2m and crews extinguished using wildfire water backpacks.

Kitchen Fire – Hudson Close, Malton Time of call: 1739

Crews from Malton attended a kitchen fire in Malton. They found that the kitchen fire was due to cooking being left unattended. The male occupant, aged in his 60s was taken to hospital via road ambulance with shock. The Red Cross are assisting this gentleman.

Flat Fire – Margaret Street, York Time of call: 2221

Crews from York, Acomb and Huntington attended a house fire with persons reported on Margaret Street in York. The fire was out on arrival as neighbours had assisted the male occupier from the property and extinguished the fire which had been caused by a chip pan being left unattended. Crews administered first aid until ambulance arrived and used positive pressure ventilation to clear the smoke. Ambulance checked male over at scene but he was not taken to hospital.

Fire in open – Foxwood Lane, York Time of call: 0001

Crews from Acomb attended a small fire in the open near a pumping station on Foxwood Lane. They extinguished using a bucket of water.

Ring removal – Richmond Fire Station Time of call: 0015

A female with a ring stuck on her finger attended Richmond Fire Station in order to have the ring removed. Crews used a ring cutter and small tools.

 Car Fire – Arran Place, York Time of call: 0240

A crew from York responded to a number of calls reporting a car fire. Crews found that the vehicle was a Fiat Punto and the cause is believed deliberate.

False Alarm – Anne Street, York Time of call: 0248

A crew from Acomb attended an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to water in the detector head.
