Incident Summary Night Shift 8th April

Summary of Incidents –   8th April, Night Shift

 

Toc:  1758 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, De La Salle House, Fulford Road, York.  York Crew Attended. Cause of Alarm burnt toast.

 

Toc:  1809 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, School, Hull Road, York.  Acomb Crew attended.  Cause of Alarm fault on system.

 

Toc:  1828 hours, Commercial Premises, Falsgrave Road, Scarborough.  Fire in Fryer.  Scarborough, Filey, Robin Hoods Bay attended.

 

Toc:  1922 hours, Rubbish Fire, Colburn Business Park, Catterick Garrison.  Colburn and Richmond Crews attended.  Incident involved 2 wheelie bins and pallets on fire in an outbuilding measuring approximately 8 metres x 5 metres.  The fire caused 25% fire damage to the contents and 40% fire damage to the roof trusses.  Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and thermal imaging camera to deal with the fire.  The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.

 

Toc:  1940 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Dalton Old Airfield Industrial Estate, Dalton.

Thirsk Crew  attended.  Cause of Alarm fault on System.

 

Toc:  2004 hours, Unknown Substance spilt on road, Woodlea Grove, York.  Acomb Crews attended.  Incident involved a 25 litre plastic barrel containing approximately 5 litres of waste oil deliberately spilt on roadway. Crews used drizzit pads to mop the spill up and placed in hazardous waste bags.  Crews waited until Highways came to collect the barrel and bags.

 

Toc:  2140 hours, A19 Barlby, Selby.  Two  Vehicle Road Traffic Collision involving a Citroen DS and a Vauxhall Astra.  Occupants of an Astra a male and 7 year old child were out on arrival of Fire Service.  Occupant of Vauxhall a female was also out on arrival, taken to Hospital for a precautionary check up.  Selby Crews made vehicles safe.

 

Toc:  2212 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Belle View Terrace, Skipton.  Skipton Crew Attended.  Cause of the Alarm smoking materials.

 

Toc:  2246 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, York Barbican, Paragon Street, York.  York Crew attended.  Cause of Alarm steam from a dryer.

 

Toc:  0028 hours, 2 wheelie bins on fire outside Walkers & Co, Londesborough Road, Scarborough, fire caused small amount of heat damage to outside light.  Scarborough Crews used 1hr and thermal imaging camera. Cause of fire deliberate.

 

Toc:  0335 hours, Automatic Fire Alarm, Visitors Centre, Crosshills, Marfield, Masham.   Masham Crew attended.  Cause of Alarm fault on System.

 

Toc:  0412 hours, Smoke Alarm sounding at a property on Knotto Bottom Way, Northallerton.  Crew from Northallerton attended.  Cause was fault on system.
