Summary of Incidents Night Shift 9th February 2016

1918 Hours – Road Traffic Collision involving LGV and Car

One female aged approximately late 50s trapped in Vauxhall Insignia Estate.  Crews from York and Huntington used hydraulic cutting equipment to release her, she was taken to Hospital suffering from chest and next injuries.

1933 Hours – Fire in Garden – Main Street, Towton, Tadcaster

Fire Crew from Tadcaster attended cause Controlled Burning in the Garden.

1934 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm – Church View, Sherburn in Elmet

Tadcaster Crew attended, Cause of Alarm Cooking Fumes.

1942 Hours – Road Traffic Collision – Eastgate, Pickering

Road traffic collision involving an off road 4 x 4 vehicle which had crashed into a parked Van.  Driver of 4 x 4 a male aged 74 years was trapped by the vehicle’s steering column but not by his injuries.  Crews from Pickering and Malton  used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove door so he could be extricated.  He was suffering from lascerations to his head.

2055 – Chimney Fire, Buttersett Road, Hawes.

Hawes Crew attended a small chimney fire, cause an accumulation of soot.  Crews used hearth kit and chimney rods.

2102 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Wetherby Road, HarrogateThe Cause of the alarm was cooking fumes. Harrogate crew attended.

 2234 Hours – Smoke in Property, Sutton Road, Thirsk

Fire Crews from Thirsk and Northallerton attended, upon attendance the cause of the alarm sounding was a faulty detector.

2241 Hours – Fire in Field, Road from Roecliffe to Bishop Monkton

Fire Crew from Boroughbridge attended a fire in a field, cause of the fire bonfire left unattended, crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish it.

0037 Hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Valley Road, Scarborough

Scarborough Crew attended an automatic fire alarm, but was unable to establish cause as occupants had reset alarm prior to their attendance.
