Incident Summary – Night Shift 8th July

Toc:  1744 hours – A19 SBC Cleveland Tontine.  Road Traffic Collision involving a HGV and a Tanker carrying carbon dioxide. Crew from Northallerton Fire Station attended. There were no persons trapped, no damage to tanker and no leak of gas.  No action by Fire Service.

Toc:  1745 hours – Residential Premises, Bullamoor Road, Northallerton. Diesel leak on property.  Fire Crew from Bedale attended.  Possibly up to 600 litres of diesel leaked into water course.  No action by Fire Service as leak appears to be underground.

Toc:  1834 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Premises, Heslington.  York Crew attended.  Cause of alarm, overheating by light fitting, left in hands of electrician.

Toc:  1852 hours – Scarborough Fire Station. 1 nine year old male attended the Fire Station, unable to release himself from handcuffs.  Crews used small tools to release him from them.

Toc:  1855 hours – Bin Fire in layby near the entrance to Skipton Golf Club. 1 crew from Skipton attended, 1 hose reel jet used to extinguish it.

Toc:  2019 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Premises, Hookstone Park, Harrogate. 1 appliance from Harrogate attended.  Cause of alarm, dust in detector head.

Toc:  2200 hours – Smoke in entrance of disused toilet building. Kirkgate, Sherburn in Elmet.  Tadcaster crew attended, cause of smoke leaves on fire in entrance of disused toilet building.  Out on arrival, inspection only.

Toc:  2207 hours – Controlled Burning, Abbey Road, Knaresborough. Knaresborough attended.  Occupier in attendance, no action by Fire Service.

Toc:  2331 hours – Small Fire in area of Crowberry Drive, Harrogate.  Harrogate crew attended, no fire found.

Toc:  0001 hours – Malicious Activation of break glass point, Crescent Avenue, Whitby. Whitby crews attended.

Toc:  0234 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Residential Premises, Station Lane, Burton Leonard.  Harrogate crew attended.  Cause of alarm faulty.

Toc:  0616 hours – Automatic Fire Alarm, Commercial Residential Premises, Cammock Lane, Settle.  Settle crew attended.  Cause faulty detector head.
