Crews from Scarborough and Filey responded to reports of a 2 vehicle RTC. They released one male aged approx. 80 years of age using cutting gear. Male casualty was taken to hospital via road ambulance with injuries that were not thought to be serious.

York crews responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

Davygaye, York

York crews responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. They found that this was a false alarm due to dust from workmen.

 

Pasture Crescent, Filey

A crew from Filey responded to a call from an elderly resident stating that an alarm was beeping inside her property. They found that the beeping was from a carbon monoxide detector with a low battery. However they also found the unit to be considerable out of date so gave advice to resident to replace the detector at her earliest opportunity.

 

Castle Road, Scarborough

Scarborough crews responded to a report of a boiler leaking water and unable to be isolated. Crews located the stop valve and isolated the water. They gave advice to the occupier to have the remedial repair carried out by his landlord.

 

Dunslow Road, Scarborough

Scarborough crews responded to a report of a transit van on fire. They found that this was a false alarm and was actually someone carrying out controlled burning. Crews gave advice on appropriate times to carry out controlled burning.
