Small fire – Bridge Street, Richmond

Time of call: 1725 hours

A crew from Richmond has been called to extinguish a fire involving a tree stump. They have used a wildfire back pack, a hosereel and an axe. The cause was deliberate.

Car fire – Tower Street, Harrogate

Time of call: 1810 hours

A crew from Harrogate has been called to a car fire in a car park involving a VW Beetle. This resulted in slight fire damage to wiring only. The cause was and electrical fault. The fire was out on our arrival but the crew used a thermal imaging camera for inspection only.

False alarm – Acomb Road, York

Time of call: 1820 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a block of flats. This was a false alarm due to deodorant spray.

Car fire – Whenby Lane, Sheriff Hutton

Time of call: 2003 hours

A crew from Huntington has dealt with a car fire involving a Peugeot 206. 70% fire damage was caused to the vehicle. The cause was an electrical fault. The crew used 1 breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet.

False alarm – Seamer Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 2131 hours

A crew from Scarborough has responded to reports of a fire out of control in the rear garden of a residential property. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning. Advice was given to the occupier.

Rubbish fire – Saw Wells Lane, Barkston Ash

Time of call: 2143 hours

A crew from Tadcaster has dealt with a fire approximately 10m by 3m in the open involving flytipped rubbish. The cause was deliberate and the crew used 1 hosereel to extinguish the fire..

Barn fire – Lordship Lane, Wistow Lordship

Time of call: 2144 hours

2 crews from Selby have dealt with a fire in a barn approximately 25m by 25m containing various farm machinery. Fire started in an industrial electric dryer used to dry horse blankets. Resulted in fire damage to a crate of approximately 30 horse blankets, the portable dryer and the adjacent shed walls. 2 males suffered smoke inhalation and received oxygen therapy from fire crew before arrival of paramedics. They did not require hospital treatment. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault to the portable dryer and our crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hosereel jet, lighting, oxygen therapy kit and thermal imaging camera.

False alarm – Coldhill Lane, Saxton

Time of call: 2210 hours

2 crews and a water bowser from Tadcaster have been called to reports of a large fire in the open. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision. Advice given to landowner.

False alarm - Maison Dieu, Richmond

Time of call: 2234 hours

Crews from Richmond and Colburn have responded to reports of smoke coming from a residential property. This was a false alarm due to steam from the central heating system.

False alarm – Heslington Road, York

Time of call: 2245 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to moisture in the detector head.

False alarm - Oakdale Avenue, Harrogate

Time of call: 2301 hours

A crew from Harrogate has been called to reports of a fire in the rear garden of a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision. Advice was given to the occupier.

False alarm – Holgate Park Drive, York

Time of call: 2313 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown fault.
