Incident Summary Night Shift Friday 28th September 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

 

Wells Lane, Barton

Time of call: 19:23

A crew from Richmond and a crew from Darlington were called to a tractor on fire inside of a barn. The owners removed the tractor from the barn and used a garden hose and fire extinguishers prior to Fire Brigade’s arrival. The cause of the fire was an electrical fault and a hose reel jet was used by crews to extinguish this.

 

Dodsworth avenue, York

Time of call: 19:28

A crew from York were called to a fire in a park. This was out on arrival and the cause was believed to be deliberate.

 

 

Ashlands Road, Northallerton

Time of call: 20:16

A crew from Northallerton were called to a fire in the rear garden of a residential property. This was a false alarm and was controlled burning with the owner in attendance.

 

 

Hawthorn Avenue,Malton

Time of call: 00:24

A crew from Malton were called to investigate a smell of smoke in the air. The crew investigated and found the smell was coming from controlled burning. Advice was given and no action was taken.

 

 

Gargrave Road, Skipton

Time of call: 06:24

A crew from Skipton were called to a female who had become locked in her vehicle. Crews released her using manpower.

 

 

We also attended fire alarm activations in Harrogate, Selby and Malton. These were all false alarms.
