Fossgate, York

Fire crews from Acomb attended reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial property in Fossgate. When crews arrived they discovered the alarm had started due to water entering the alarm system.

Bramley Garth, York

Fire crews from Huntington attended reports of flooding at a domestic premises.

When crews arrived they gave advice to the occupant of property. Occupant had already put measures in place to deal with flooding. Flooding situation had arisen due to a heavy downpour. No further action required by Fire Service.

Albemarle Road, York

Fire crews from Huntington attended reports of a bin on fire near The Knavesmire. When crews arrived they extinguished the bin fire with a hose reel jet. The fire had been caused by a disposable BBQ being placed in the bin when it was still lit. No further action required.

 Ostman Road, York

Fire crews from York attended reports of a fire in the open. When crews arrived at scene they were able to confirm the fire to be a controlled bonfire under supervision. Advice was given to the occupants, no further action required.

Westborough, Scarborough

Fire crews from Scarborough attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises on Westborough. When crews arrived they were able to confirm there was no fire at the property. Further investigation confirmed the incident was a false alarm and fire crews were not required.

Thorpe Underwood, Nr Boroughbridge

Fire crews from Boroughbridge attended reports of a fire alarm sounding at a residential property at Thorpe underwood. When crews arrived they carried out a full inspection of the property. They were able to confirm that the alarm had activated by deodorant being sprayed close to a detector head. No further action required.

University Road, Heslington, York 

Fire crews from York attended reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. When crew arrived at scene they confirmed the alarm had been activated by accidental breakage of the fire alarm glass activation panel. Advice given to responsible person on site. Engineers to attend site. No further action by fire crews

 Daw Lane, Appleton Roebuck Nr Tadcaster

Fire crews fro Tadcaster, York, Acomb and Huntington attended reports of a roof fire in a domestic property. When crews arrived they were able to investigate the fire and extinguish a small fire in the roof . The fire is believed to have started due to an electrical fault. Electricity engineers requested to attend property and incident left in their hands.
