Incident Summary Night Shift Monday 17th September 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

We also attended a number of fire alarm activations during the shift which turned out to be a false alarms.

 

Fire near to building – Seamer, Stokesley

Time of call: 19:29

Appliances from Stokesley and Coulby Newham attended this incident and extinguished a small amount of rubbish which was next to a residential building, crews used 2 breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

 

Skip Fire – Stakesby Road, Whitby
Time of call: 21:06 

Appliances from Whitby and Lythe attended this fire and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.


Bin fire – Skipton Road, Harrogate
Time of call: 22:00 

An appliance from Harrogate attended this incident and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.


Smoke in kitchen – Clementhorpe, York
Time of call: 22:00 

Appliances from Acomb and York attended this incident and confirmed this was a false alarm.

Time of call: 05:39
Appliances from Thirsk and Ripon attended a road traffic collision involving one vehicle. The occupant was out of the vehicle on Fire Brigade arrival. Crews assisted with scene safety using lighting and a thermal imaging camera.
