Fire – Pottery Lane, York

Time of call: 1921 hours

Crews from York responded to sightings of smoke in the open. They found this had been a fire which was out on arrival which had been started with youths with matches.

False Alarm – Bondgate, Ripon

Time of call: 2019 hours

Crews from Ripon responded to an automatic fire alarm activation at a property on Bondgate. They found this to be a false alarm due cooking fumes.

Fire – Gateforth New Road, Brayton

Time of call: 2140 hours

Crews from Selby, together with a Pontefract crew from West Yorkshire responded to reports of a fire in the open. Upon arrival they found a large derelict building well alight. Crews extinguished and will revisit in the morning. The cause is believed to be deliberate.

Fire – Sim Balk Lane, York

Time of call: 2207 hours

Crews from Ripon responded to an automatic fire alarm activation at a property on Sim Balk Lane. They found that there had been a fire in a kiln which was out on arrival. Crews used a thermal imaging camers for inspection. The cause is believed to be accidental.

False Alarm – Outgang Lane, Osbaldwick

Time of call: 2254 hours

Crews from York responded to sightings of smoke near the caravan park on Outgang Lane. They found this to be a false alarm due to controlled burning.

Car Fire – Station Lane, Shipton by Beningbrough

Time of call: 0345

Crews from Acomb attended a property on Station Lane following a call from the police reporting a car fire. Upon arrival crews found that the car was completely burnt out prior to our attendance as had been ablaze a while. Crews used a hose reel jet to cool the bodywork.

False Alarm – St Marys Walk, Harrogate

Time of call: 0359 hours

Crews from Harrogate responded to an automatic fire alarm activation at a property on St Marys Walk. They found this to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.
