Roof fire – Springfield Drive, Boroughbridge

Time of call 17:16

Crews from Boroughbridge, Ripon and Knaresborough along with an aerial ladder platform from Harrogate were called to reports of a roof on fire at the above address. Crews attended and extinguished a fire which caused fire damage to a section of the roof and water damage to the ceilings in the upstairs of the property. Crews used hose reels, breathing apparatus, ladders and thermal imaging camera. The cause of the fire is believed to be from the chimney.

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – College Court, Scarborough

Time of call 20:00

Crews from Scarborough were requested to attend a smoke alarm sounding in a residential property at the above address. The cause of the alarm is believed to be cooking fumes.

 

 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Ox Carr Lane, Strensall

Time of call 23:40

Crews from Huntington were requested to attend a smoke alarm sounding in a residential property at the above address. The cause of the alarm is believed to water in the electrics. 

 

 

Property fire – St Stephens Road, York

Time of call: 0428 hours

Crews from Acomb and York have dealt with a wheelie bin on fire against the external doors of a 2 storey block of flats. Resulted in fire damage to wheelie bin, slight fire damage to doors and light smoke damage to entrance foyer. The cause is deliberate and crews used 1 hose reel.

 

False alarm – Main Street, Little Ouseburn

Time of call: 0448 hours

Crews from Boroughbridge and Knaresborough have responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

False alarm – Wigginton Road, York

Time of call: 0548 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.
