Near Tesco’s, Askham Bar, Dringhouses, York - Time of call 18:19

Fire crews from York attended a small amount of rubbish on fire in the open. Cause is believed to be deliberate. Fire crew stamped fire out.

Gayle Lane, Hawes - Time of call 19:57

Hawes fire crew responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm caused by defective equipment.

Bilsdale Close, Romanby - Time of call 20:11

Northallerton Fire crews attended a smoke alarm activation at a domestic property. This was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

Eastville Terrace, Ripon Road, Harrogate –  Time of call 21:30

Harrogate fire crew responded to a chimney fire. This was a false alarm.

Hillam Hall View, Selby - Time of call 21:51

Fire crews from Selby and Pontefract responded to a garden fire that had spread to the fence. Occupiers had managed to extinguish fire prior to arrival of crews, however crews damped down fence and surrounding area.

Wetherby Road, Tadcaster - Time of call 22:19

Tadcaster fire crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation at a commercial premises.  This was a false alarm due to fault with equipment.

Near Minskip Roundabout, Boroughbridge - Time of call 23:18

Fire crews from Boroughbridge, Knaresborugh, Harrogate and Ripon responded to reports of a chemical leaking at a commercial premises.  No leak or spillage was found. Full inspection carried out.

A171, Selly Hill, Whitby - Time of call 23:33

Whitby Fire crew responded to a Peugeot car fire, Cause of fire is believed to be deliberate. Crews extinguished fire using one hose reel and two breathing apparatus.

High Street, Stokesley - Time of call 23:42

Fire crew from Stokesley attended a smoke alarm activation at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm caused by someone vaping.

Coney Street, York - Time Of call 01:33

York, Acomb and Huntington responded to reports of a commercial premises heavily smoke logged. This was a false alarm caused by smoke cloak activation.

 

Borough Road, Richmond – Time of call 02:24

A fire crew from Richmond attended this incident which turned out to be a false alarm.
