Incident Summary Night Shift Saturday 13th October 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Clifton Moor York– Time of call 16:28 (update)

Attendance at the large fire involving a retail unit continues. Currently, there remains 2 fire appliances, a high volume pump and a ladder platform. Fire investigation will commence later today.

Sunday 14th October update- fire investigations are on-going and no cause has been established at this time. 

Monday 15th October - this incident remains open and crews have been dampening down hot spots  

Clifton, York – Time of call 18:07

Acomb firecrew extinguished a bonfire out of control on allotments by means of a hosereel.

Barlby, Selby – Time of call 18:25

Crews from Selby, Snaith and Thirsk extinguished a fire in a rear garden which started as a rubbish fire but grew out of control damaging conifers, a summer house, shed and a garage. 1 main jet and 1 hosereel jet were used.

Eastgate, Boroughbridge –Time of call 20:03

A crew from Harrogate attended to a report of a fire. This was controlled burning and no action was taken by the Fire Service.

There has also been a variety of fire alarm activations across the county overnight, none of which resulted in the discovery of a fire.
