Incident Summary – Night Shift Saturday 27th May

 

Fire – Davygate, York

Time of call: 1833 hours

Crews from York, Acomb and Huntington have attended a fire in the basement of a retail unit. This involved a small fire in a light fitting with slight fire damage to the light only. It was out on our arrival. A thermal imaging camera was used for inspection only. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault.

 

False alarm – Heslington Road, York

Time of call: 1838 hours

A crew from Huntington has been called to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a faulty smoke detector.

 

Road traffic collision – Stapleton Road, Cleasby

Time of call: 2027 hours

Crews from Darlington and Richmond have been called to a single vehicle road traffic collision. No persons were trapped or injured. Darlington crew assisted Police with scene safety.

 

False alarm – Waterside, Knaresborough

Time of call: 2050 hours

A crew from Knaresborough have responded to a smoke alarm activation in a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to fumes from car cleaning substances left on worktop in utility room.

 

Property Fire – Selby Road, Camblesforth

Time of call: 2255 hours

Crews from Selby and Snaith have dealt with a fire in a disused commercial property. The fire started in a conservatory and damage has been caused to a small amount of furniture inside. Crews have used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hosereel jets and a thermal imaging camera. The cause is believed to be deliberate.
