Incident Summary – Night Shift Saturday 28th January

Road traffic collision – West Park, Harrogate Time of call: 1925 hours

A crew from Harrogate has assisted with scene safety at the scene of a collision involving a motorcyclist and a car. The occupant of the car was uninjured but the motorcyclist suffered ankle injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Fire crew administered first aid and carried out scene safety.

Chimney fire – Westfield Lane, Arkendale Time of call: 2040 hours

A crew from Knaresborough have dealt with a chimney fire in a residential property. Crew used a hosereel, triple extension ladder, small tools, thermal imaging camera and lighting. The cause is believed to be an accumulation of debris.

False alarm – Lancaster Park Road, Harrogate Time of call: 2337 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke detector activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

Malicious call – West Acres, Byram Time of call: 0022 hours

A crew from Selby has been called to reports of a property fire. No fire was located. Incident left with Police.
