False alarm – Hunters Way, York

Time of call: 1738 hours

A crew from York has investigated a fire in the open at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.

False alarm – Station Road, Thirsk

Time of call: 1929 hours

A crew from Thirsk has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

House fire – Town Street, Settrington

Time of call: 1934 hours

Two crews from Malton have dealt with a fire in the first floor bedroom of a detached residential property. This resulted in fire and heat damage to the bedroom of origin and smoke damage to the remainder of the open plan property. Smoke detectors were fitted and activated. The cause is believed to be a faulty halogen light fitting. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hosereel and lighting.

Road traffic collision – West Garth, Cayton

Time of call: 2034 hours

A crew from Scarborough has dealt with a 3 vehicle road traffic collision. No persons were trapped or injured. Fire crew made the vehicle safe and assisted with scene safety.

A crew from Hawes has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault in the detection system.

Rescue – A61, Busby Stoop

Time of call: 2113 hours

A crew from Thirsk has rescued 2 inebriated males who had fallen down an embankment and were unable to climb back out. They used a triple extension ladder and a rope to rescue the males who were both uninjured.

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to cosmetic smoke being used.

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm re-activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to cosmetic smoke still being used. Advice was given to the occupiers.

2 crews from Northallerton have been sent to reports of smoke in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to fumes from burnt toast.

Road traffic collision – Skipton Road, Cross Hills

2 crews from Skipton have been called to single vehicle road traffic collision. On their arrival there were no persons trapped and Fire Service was not required.
