False alarm – Heslinggton Road, York

Time of call: 1734 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to water leaking into the detection system.

 

False alarm – off Brecks Lane, Strensall

Time of call: 1736 hours

 A crew from Huntington has investigated reports of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.

 

False alarm – Newby Crescent, Harrogate

Time of call: 1739 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

False alarm – A170, Keldholme

Time of call: 1829 hours

A crew from Kirkbymoorside has investigated reports of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.

 

False alarm – off Shaw Drive, Kirkbymoorside

Time of call: 1913 hours

A crew from Kirkbymoorside has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to excessive steam and fumes from cooking.

 

False alarm – between Spennithorne and Finghall

Time of call: 2132 hours

Crews from Leyburn and Bedale have been called to reports of a farm building on fire. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning in a field.

 

Bin fire – Laburnum Close, Rufforth

Time of call: 2221 hours

Crews from Acomb and York have dealt with a wheelie bin and fence on fire in the rear garden of a domestic property. The cause is belileved to be carelessly discarded ashes in the wheelie bin. Crews used 1 hose reel and a thermal imaging camera. A nearby heating oil tank and 6 propane cylinders were unaffected.

 

Pan fire – St Aelreds Close, York

Time of call: 0043 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This involved a pan left unattended. Fire damage was caused to the pan and contents. There was light smoke damage to the kitchen. Fire crew removed pan from heat source. Cause believed to be accidental.

 

Rubbish fire – York Road, Boroughbridge

Time of call: 0156 hours

A crew from Boroughbridge has dealt with a rubbish fire in an open fronted sports building approx. 8m by 2m. Damage was limited to rubbish and slight charring occurred to 1 wall. The cause is believed to be deliberate. Crew used buckets of water.

 

False alarm - Eyre Close, Brayton

Time of call: 0227 hours

A crew from Selby has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a faulty on the detection system.

 

Car fire – Woodlands Drive, Scarborough

Time of call: 0501 hours

2 crews from Scarborough have dealt with a car fire involving an Audi. The Audi suffered extensive fire damage, along with an adjacent Mitsubishi. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault and the crews used 2 hose reels and foam.

 

False alarm – Filey Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 0547 hours

Crews from Scarborough and Robin Hoods Bay have been called to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault in the detection system.
