Tree fire – Crowgarth, Skelton on Ure

Time of call: 1625 hours

A crew from Ripon has dealt with a dead tree on fire. The cause is believed to be deliberate and they have used 1 hosereel and a reciprocating saw.

False alarm – Bewerley Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 1744 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke detector activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Helicopter crash – Breighton (Humberside)

Time of call: 1806 hours

2 crews from Selby, a heavy rescue unit from Tadcaster and various Humberside fire engines have been called to reports of a helicopter crash. North Yorkshire crews assisted ambulance crews on scene then handed over the incident to Humberside Fire Service. 5 male casualties were involved and have all been transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

False alarm – Market Place, Thirsk

Time of call: 1813 hours

A crew from Thirsk has responded to a smoke alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

False alarm – Grange Road, Tadcaster

Time of call: 1839 hours

A crew from Tadcaster has investigated reports of a fire on some allotments. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision in the garden of a domestic property.

Bin fire – Olivers Mount, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough has dealt with a small bin fire using a hosereel. The cause is believed to be careless disposal of a disposable barbecue.

Fire in the open – off Reeth Road, Richmond

Time of call: 1933 hours

A crew from Richmond has dealt with a fire in woodland on bank of the river Swale. The cause was deliberate and buckets of water were used.

False alarm – York Place, Harrogate

Time of call: 2035 hours

A crew from Harrogate has investigated reports of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm due to a disposable barbeque being used by a group of responsible people.

False alarm – Harwood Road, Upper Poppleton

Time of call: 2130 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.
