In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Small fire – Oak Beck Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 1655 hours

A crew from Harrogate has dealt with a small fire in the open behind a commercial property. The cause is believed to be deliberate and crew used a backpack sprayer to extinguish.

False alarm – Low Ousegate, York

Time of call: 1918 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to accidental activation of a heat detector in the kitchen area.

False alarm – A65 near Newby

Time of call: 1941 hours

A crew from Bentham has investigated reports of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning.

Effect entry – Ravensworth

Time of call: 2053 hours

A crew from Richmond has effected entry to a domestic property after the resident became locked out. Crew used hydraulic spreading gear to access the spare key in a secure key lock.
