Time of call: 1824 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm – Southholme Walk, Boroughbridge

Time of call: 1825 hours

A crew from Boroughbridge has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm – Pannett Way, Whitby

Time of call: 1851 hours

A crew from Whitby has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm – Beulah Terrace, Scarborough

Time of call: 1930 hours

A crew from Scarborough has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm - Carmelite Street, York

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm - West Cliffe Grove, Harrogate

Time of call: 2205 hours

2 crews from Harrogate have attended a suspected gas leak in a residential property after the elderly occupier contacted the ambulance service complaining of feeling unwell. A full inspection of the property was carried out using a gas detector but no leak was located. A Transco gas engineer also attended and carried out a full inspection. The occupier was taken to hospital by ambulance for a precautionary check up.

Shed fire – Fostergate, Selby

Time of call: 2212 hours

A crew from Selby has dealt with a shed fire in the rear garden of a domestic property. 25% fire damage was caused to the shed which was used to house pigeons. All 12 pigeons were released and were uninjured. The cause is deliberate and the crew used 1 hosereel and lighting. The incident was left with the Police.

False alarm – Darbie Close, New Earswick

Time of call: 0518 hours

A crew from Huntington has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.
