Incident Summary – Night Shift Sunday 4th June

 

House fire – Westholme, Hutton Rudby                             

Time of call: 1620 hours

Crews from Stokesley, Northallerton, Yarm and an aerial ladder platform from Darlington have dealt with a fire in domestic property.

 

Rubbish fire – Stubbs Common, Cridling Stubbs              

Time of call: 1802 hours

A crew from Selby has dealt with a rubbish fire approx. 5m square. Cause was deliberate and a knapsack sprayer and buckets of water were used.

 

False alarm – Plews Way, Leeming Bar

Time of call: 1841 hours

A crew from Bedale has responded to a smoke alarm activation in an industrial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

 

Stack fire – Cobcroft Lane, Cridling Stubbs

Time of call: 1845 hours

A crew from Pontefract have dealt with a stack fire in a field. The cause is believed to be deliberate and 1 hose reel jet was used.

 

False alarm – Vine Street, York

Time of call: 1852 hours

A crew from York has investigated reports of smoke in the area. A full search was carried out but no incident could be located.

 

False alarm – Washbeck Close, Scarborough

Time of call: 1854 hours

2 crews from Scarborough have responded to a smoke alarm activation in a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector.

 

Small fire – High Street, Hinderwell

Time of call: 2248 hours

A crew from Lythe have been called to an intentional burning of a container building approx. 6m by 3m which got out of control.  The crew used 1 hose reel to extinguish.

 

False alarm – Market Flat Lane, Scriven

Time of call: 2147 hours

A crew from Knaresborough has been called to reports of a fire on some allotments. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.

 

Car fire – Spikers Hill, West Ayton

Time of call: 2221 hours

2 crews from Scarborough have been called to a car fire. The cause is believed to be deliberate and 1 hose reel was used to extinguish.

 

False alarm – Ellers Road, Sutton in Craven

Time of call: 2245 hours

A crew from Skipton has investigated reports of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.

 

False alarm – Landing Lane, York

Time of call: 0159 hours

A crew from Acomb has investigated reports of a fire in the open near a railway line. A full search of the area was carried out but no incident could be located.

 

False alarm - The Avenue, Nunnington

Time of call: 0442 hours

A crew from Helmsley has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to dust in the detector head.
