Incident Summary Night Shift Thursday 21st June 2018

22nd June 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Hardraw Road, Hawes Time of call: 18:47

 A crew from Hawes were called to  an LPG cylinder leaking under a caravan. The crew isolated the cylinder by the stop tap.

Foresters Walk, York Time of call: 19:01

 A crew from Acomb were called to a report of trees on fire. This was in fact 0.5 square metres of shrub, which the crew extinguished using a hose reel jet.

Penyghent Avenue, York Time of call: 19:46

A crew from York were called to a shed fire. The fire was caused by a fault on an electrical appliance within the shed. The crew used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Topcliffe Road, Sowerby Time of call: 20:57

A crew from Thirsk were called to a fire in the open. This was controlled burning in the back garden of a residential property. Advice was given to the occupant.

Broughton Bridge Farm Track, Stokesley Time of call: 22:06

A crew from Cleveland Fire Brigade attended what was believed to be a small fire at a road side. This was a large bonfire that had been left unattended and the crews used two hose reel jets to extinguish this.

North Hill Road, Dishforth Airfield Time of call: 22:40

A crew from Boroughbridge were called to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a commercial property. The crews investigated and found this was activated due to dust in the detector.

High Bentham, Lancaster Time of call: 00:17

A crew from Bentham were called to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to dust in the detector.

Colliergate, York Time of call: 01:07

A crew from York were called to an automatic fire alarm sounding. The crew did a full investigation of the property and found no sign of fire.

Stockwell Road, Knaresborough Time of call: 05:03

Crews were called to an automatic fire alarm activation. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Great Ayton Moor, Great Ayton We originally attended this incident on the afternoon of 21st June and the incident remained ongoing. Crews stayed until dark damping down flames an officer will be reassessing the incident at 07:30.
