Incident Summary Night Shift Thursday 28th June 2018

28th June 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

We also attended a number of fire alarm activations during the shift which turned out to be a false alarms.

Greenwich Close, York Time of call: 17:59

An appliance from Acomb was called to a BBQ on fire. This was out on arrival.

Eastfield, Scarborough Time of call: 19:44

Crews from Scarborough and Filey were called to a report of a derelict building on fire. Crews used two hose reel jets to extinguish this. The cause was believed to be deliberate.

Burnston Stone Lane, York Time of call: 19:48

Crews were called to what was believed to be youths lighting fires. This was a false alarm.

Kingsway North, York Time of call: 19:51

Crews were called to a report of a road traffic collision with a driver trapped in their car. The person was out of the car on the Fire Brigade’s arrival and crews assisted with making the vehicle safe.

High Street, Harrogate Time of call: 22:38

Crews were called to a water leak, that was thought to be effecting the electrics inside a residential property.

Station Road, Keighley Time of call: 03:28

A crew from Skipton was called to a tree on fire. This turned out to be forestry, fencing and a garden shed. The crew used two hose reel jets and a small jet to extinguish.
