Office fire – Haxby Road, York

Time of call: 1756 hours

Crews from York, Huntington and Acomb have been called to a fire in a commercial property. This involved a printer on fire in a first floor office. The printer suffered fire damage, as did the surrounding surfaces and ceiling. The office suffered smoke damage. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel and 3 on-site CO2 extinguishers. The cause is believed to be a faulty printer.

 

False alarm – Riverside Close, Selby

Time of call: 1954 hours

A crew from Selby has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

 

Street light fire – Granby Place, Scarborough

Time of call: 0117 hours

A crew from Scarborough has dealt with a fire involving a street light. Damage was confined to the bulb and cover. The crew used a hosereel. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault.

 

Bin fire – Ousegate, Selby

Time of call: 0145 hours

A crew from Selby has dealt with a large industrial wheelie bin on fire. Damage was confined to the bin and contents and the crew used 1 hosereel to extinguish. The cause is deliberate.

Time of call: 0219 hours

A crew from Selby has dealt with a bin on fire. Damage was confined to the bin and contents and the crew used 1 hosereel to extinguish. The cause is deliberate.

Time of call: 0634 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector.
