False alarm – Kings Gardens, Sowerby

Time of call: 1819 hours

Fire engines from Thirsk and Northallerton have been called to a smoke alarm activation at a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

False alarm – Harebell Close, Northallerton

Time of call: 1839 hours

A crew from Northallerton has been called to reports of a female locked out of a domestic property with 2 small children inside. When the crew arrived on scene, a relative had arrived with a spare key and the mother was reunited with her children.

 

Rubbish fire – Danesfort Avenue, York

Time of call: 1938 hours

A crew from Acomb has been called to reports of fire in a garden at a residential property. They used 1 hosereel to extinguish the fire and gave advice to the occupier.

 

Chimney fire – Fourth Avenue, York

Time of call: 1958 hours

A crew from York has been called to a chimney fire in a residential property. The cause is believed to be due to an accumulation of soot and the crew used a pan of water to extinguish the fire.

 

False alarm – Muston Road, Filey

Time of call: 2001 hours

A crew from Filey has been called to an alarm sounding at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to the activation of a security alarm following a power surge in the area.

 

Industrial fire – New Road, Drax

Time of call: 2237 hours

Crews from Selby and Snaith have been called to a fire in a dust hopper at an industrial property. Slight fire damage was caused to the interior of the dust hopper and heat damage to the exterior lagging. The works fire crew has used a ground monitor to cool and Selby crew have used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots. The cause is believed to be radiated heat.

 

Effect entry – Abbots Road, Selby

Time of call: 2344 hours

A crew from Selby has attended a domestic property following a call from an elderly lady who had fallen and was unable to get up. As both doors to the property wee locked, the Police attended and assisted the Fire crew to gain entry. The female was checked over by the Fire crew but was uninjured.

 

Road traffic collision – A64, Rillington

Time of call: 002 hours

A crew from Malton has assisted Police at a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a VW people carrier which had overturned on to its side. Crews assisted in turning vehicle back on to it’s wheels and clearing the road.

 

False alarm – Dallamires Way, Ripon

Time of call: 0117 hours

A crew from Ripon has been called to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a water leak.

 

False alarm – Clifford Street, York

Time of call: 0312 hours

Crews from York, Acomb and Huntington have been called to reports of a commercial property on fire. This incident was a false alarm due to steam from a central heating system.

 

False alarm – Garrowby Way, York

Time of call: 0424 hours

A crew from York has been called to a smoke alarm activation in a residential building. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detector.

 

False alarm – Eleanor Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 0555 hours

A crew from Harrogate has been called to an alarm activation at a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to fumes from cooking.
