Incident Summary – Night Shift Thursday 6th September

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

Road traffic collision – A169, Hole of Horcum

Time of call: 1619 hours

A crew from Pickering has attended a road traffic collision involving a van and an elderly female pedestrian. Crew assisted paramedics with first aid and casualty handling. 1 hose reel also used to clear the road. Female has been taken to hospital with a severe hand injury.

 

False alarm – Finkle Street, Richmond

Time of call: 1745 hours

A crew from Richmond has investigated a smell of smoke in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to fumes from an overheated light fitting. Crew used a triple extension ladder and thermal imaging camera for inspection only.

 

False alarm – Cornwall Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 1801 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown cause.

 

 Flooding in property – Alga Terrace, Scarborough

Time of call: 2036 hours

A crew from Scarborough has dealt with flooding in a residential property after a heavy downpour. Crew used a ladder and small tools to clear a blockage in a gutter. Advice given to residents.

 

False alarm – off Leeming Lane, Catterick

Time of call: 2149 hours

A crew from Richmond has investigated reports of a fire in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a water leak inside the property. Crew gave advice to occupier.

 

False alarm – Woodlands Drive, Scarborough

Time of call: 2153 hours

A crew from Scarborough has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to workmen.

 

False alarm - off Royal parade, Harrogate

Time of call: 0544 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown cause.
