False alarm – Sycamore Close, Bainbridge

Time of call: 1747 hours

A crew from Hawes has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an electric heater activating a heat sensor.

False alarm – Fearby Road, Masham

Time of call: 2002 hours

A crew from Masham has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to dust in the detector head.

False alarm – Sturdy Court, Kirkbymoorside

Time of call: 2041 hours

A crew from Kirkbymoorside as responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an engineer carrying out work on the alarm system.

False alarm – Bootham, York

Time of call: 2142 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

False alarm – Princess Avenue, Knaresborough

Time of call: 2145 hours

A crew from Harrogate has investigated reports of a fire in the rear garden of a residential property. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.

Road traffic collision – York Road, Knaresborough

Time of call: 2151 hours

Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate have dealt with a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a car. 2 male occupants in the Mazda were uninjured but received a precautionary check up by paramedics on scene. 1 male motorcyclist suffering pain to left hip and lower back. Taken to hospital by ambulance. Fire crews administered first aid and assisted with scene safety.

Rubbish fire – Mirkhill Road, Selby

Time of call: 2242 hours

A crew from Selby has been called to reports of a fire in the garden of a residential property. This was controlled burning which was extinguished by the occupier with buckets of water. Inspection only and advice given by fire crew.

Rubbish fire – The Waterfront, Selby

Time of call: 2243 hours

A crew from Selby has been called to reports of a fire in the open. This involved rubbish and bushes approx. 2m by 2m. The cause is deliberate and our crew used 1 hosereel to extinguish.

False alarm – Shipton Road, Skelton, York

Time of call: 2312 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to smoke from a overheated hairdryer.

Time of call: 0047 hours

A crew from Richmond has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to cobwebs.
